Michelle loves sharing her passion for travel and letting others benefit from her experience. She unearths can’t-miss foodie dishes at destinations then divulges must-do activities so you can justify indulging in all that amazing food. Michelle answers the most pressing question for people who eat and travel. “What do we eat and what do we do when we get there?”
She lives in Chicago with her husband and two children, Mister Man (October 2003) and Little Miss (August 2005). Technically a SAHM in the suburbs of Chicago, Michelle is away more now than ever thanks to opportunities from brands and products through Honest & Truly Travels and her recipe site Honest and Truly.
Michelle publishes her work not only on this site but is also a staff writer at Food Drink Life and has a strong presence on MSN, publishing galleries, articles, and videos on a daily basis. Many of her articles have also been syndicated to AP Wire, providing additional visibility and opportunities.
What kind of travel does Michelle focus on?
Michelle has a variety of interests and loves to share the type of fun she enjoys with others who share them. It’s hard for her to choose just one type of travel as her favorite, as there is always something new to learn and visit, but cruises, Europe, and the Caribbean are definitely in th top three. Pairing the love of food and travel, as well as adventure and bucket list travel is high on her list of favorite articles to create.
Michelle is a certified SCUBA diver who also horseback rides and downhill skis. Soft adventure activities like those, as well as snorkeling, kayaking, biking, ziplining, hot air ballooning, and hiking fit well with her focus.
She is an avid cruiser and has written about both Caribbean and European cruise travel with advice on how to enjoy the cruises themselves, as well as the ports where they stop. She also travels extensively to the Caribbean, where she shares about destinations and resorts.
Food tours are a big favorite, as well. She loves to try new, local food and share that to encourage visitors to travel off the beaten path.
